TRANSFORMING INDIVIDUALS, TEAMS, AND ORGANIZATIONS.

Operation Break Free (OBF) partners with schools, organizations, and communities to deliver high-impact, team-based campaigns that help people reclaim purpose, rebuild identity, and rise together.

We don’t offer “programs.”

We launch mission campaigns—live, time-bound transformation challenges run in teams, guided by trained peer leaders, grounded in research, and shaped by lived experience.

🟡 WHO WE SERVE

  • To run peer-led leadership teams that build purpose, identity, and emotional strength in middle school, high school, and college-age students.

Example: Launching Reclaim Missions for students facing adversity, or Connect Missions for improving school belonging and peer connection.

  • To mobilize community-driven action that breaks cycles, builds trust, and turns local people into local leaders.

Example: Public-facing service missions, youth empowerment campaigns, or neighborhood wellness initiatives.

  • To cultivate human-centered leadership and resilient teams—built on accountability, shared purpose, and emotional intelligence.

Example: Onboarding mission cycles, team leader labs, or identity-centered culture design.

  • To offer clients more than clinical services—providing peer-driven community, structure, and emotional momentum for recovery and growth.

Example: Reclaim Missions for trauma recovery, Connect Missions for healing isolation, or Align Missions for grounding values.

  • To help vets and service members reclaim mission, meaning, and belonging beyond the uniform—while channeling their leadership capacity.

Example: Align Missions focused on post-military identity or Forge Missions that tap into challenge-based camaraderie.

If your organization is ready to stop doing things the old way—and start empowering real people to lead real change—we’re your partner.

What makes OBF Different

  • OBF replaces vague programming with focused, goal-driven missions.

Each experience is structured as a time-bound challenge—what we call a “mission”—with clear objectives, accountability, and built-in reflection points. This creates emotional investment, personal relevance, and measurable growth within a defined timeline. Unlike traditional curricula, OBF missions are designed to activate intrinsic motivation, build narrative identity, and help participants track their own transformation from start to finish.

This structure brings clarity to change: participants aren’t just attending—they’re on a mission.

  • We don’t just serve communities—we develop leaders from within them.

OBF’s team model is centered around trained peer leaders who facilitate the mission experience for their group. This bottom-up leadership approach builds community trust, enhances relatability, and distributes power across the system. Leaders are selected for lived experience, trained in OBF’s framework, and equipped with the tools to lead effectively—without needing to be licensed professionals or external experts.

The result: scalable leadership pipelines, culturally credible guides, and stronger outcomes across diverse populations.

  • OBF is where street knowledge meets scholarly rigor.

Our model is grounded in interdisciplinary research—drawing from trauma recovery, adult learning theory, group dynamics, and military team science—while staying rooted in lived experience. The framework is designed to meet people where they are, while moving them through evidence-informed phases of growth: from survival to self-mastery, story ownership, and leadership.

This isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach. It’s a tested system built from what works—on the ground and in the data.

  • We design with identity at the center—because relevance drives engagement.

Every mission is adaptable to the cultural context and lived experience of the participants. Our campaigns honor identity, language, and values, and can be co-created with organizations to reflect the specific struggles, strengths, and aspirations of their communities. This ensures participants don’t just show up—they see themselves in the mission.

From youth to veterans, from reentry to classrooms—OBF campaigns speak in a voice that resonates.
